Grow Old with me, the BEST is yet to be!

Flash...and 2015 is already gone. In fact 2016 is also settled for many. Last year has been little rocky, and sadly not because of change but 'NO CHANGE'. I would love to have it rocky with changes upside down. No things are not bad, in fact they are great, expectedly great. But I want CHANGE. Title...are the lines somewhere I read in a book and quite stuck in my head for over months now. I have read many books last year and still able to continue the good habit, the time has reminded me that how much I used to love reading. This years highlight travel was Indore. The place we all three loved for one common reason FOOD and off-course many more... With li'l one jumping, singing and dancing all over the place, time has just flew, but it was pure pleasure to have enjoyed these moments with my family. As I look forward for year 2016 with dreamy eyes, irresistibly I sing... Grow old with me, the BEST is yet to be!!!

Complete closure

It was 'Friends' from where I learned the word 'Closure' first. One of my all time favorite TV series. There was this one thing stuck for quite some time in my mind which I could not understand why how when. Last year I realized it was there because I did not get 'Complete closure' on it. So here is an attempt to put an end to unnecessary importance that I have been giving to it. Its ok you dint get closure, cool. Move on. < --- By the way this post was pending for publish since 1 year, #ForgetFool Me -->

Life Hacks

Here are few good quotes I read/heard somewhere which will help make your life little bit better and manageable. Confidence will take you places. Seek a greater purpose. Living in the present will keep you focused. The people who truly care about you aren't interested in your accomplishments and possessions; they're interested in you. Rhetoric is powerful. It can be easy to give up when you're talented and work hard but aren't getting a break. Remember that you find good fortune by constantly moving forward. Realize that people don't care as much as you think they might. Arranging your life around money won't make you happy. Follow your passion Debt is not a necessary burden of adulthood. You have a responsibility to everyone, and a responsibility for only yourself. Prepare for the unexpected. You can't let others define you. You must always go beyond what is required Self-awareness is endlessly valuable. Biases affect everything you do. P...

Month 'November' has always been a happening month in my life. My first job offer, engagement, wedding and my li'l princess all happened some November. Round the year I am excited and eagerly waiting for November, as this is the month we take our celebrations to some new place. This time it was UDAIPUR, The Lake City. Early morning flight landed at Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur at 6:30 AM. The moment I stepped out of the airport, I just knew that I am going to love this place. Something about the place was very positive, fresh and vibrant. And in my subsequent stay there I realized all that was true. We had booked Hotel Lake Pichola for our stay, we reached there around 7:30 which was way too early for check-in. Hotel staff was so nice and co-operative they arranged a temporary room till we could check-in. Soon we freshened-up and headed to explore the city. The first location on our list was Sai Snacks Corner for Alu Parathas. Its a small food joint but food was r...

New Beginning

I am a strong believer of new beginnings, changes. It gives you an opportunity to be more, to be stronger, to be BETTER. And here is such new beginning in my life that I would like to share, RISHITA my daughter. Its been 6 months she is around and I feel it was just yesterday that we brought her home. Everyday brings new joy, surprises, challenges and frustrations ;) In last 6 months I have learned things that I never imagined I could/would do in my life. Not to brag much but believe me its not easy to do funny sound(or noise?), get baby to sleep, sing a song. In my case I don't know any baby songs, so here I am the lyricist, musician and singer...vola! I don't do funny faces, just cant do, my better half handles that department ;) We have still not achieved something called 'make baby stop crying' solution, combination of zillion things results in that(including me crying along with sometimes...) Its been really busy(huh...tell me something n...

Being Busy Bee!

Ending note from previous entry really worked, hubby is back :) And though I am out of sitcoms, I am not short of TV series. Here are some of the updates... Taken two road trips, one in Diwali where Hubby was invited to my hometown, we also visited Kolhapur. And later to Ganapatipule to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. First one was awesome drive as road is smooth, multi lane highway and memorable as our first long drive together in India. Latter was full of challenges. To start with drive was on single lane, heavy traffic, not so smooth Goa Highway. And considering our journey start time we ended up driving in night on famous NH 17 where there were no milestones of Ganapatipule until 8 KM to our destination. It was only next morning we got to see the place, boy! the view was breathtaking. Wonderful place. Add it to your 'places to visit' Its not only the place we fall in love with but also the local cuisine specially solkadhi :) An amazing start to the new year with lo...

sitcoms

It was back in year 2007 I saw the popular American sitcom 'Friends', fresh out of B-School, had to leave to Bangalore where my first corporate opportunity from campus was waiting. Friend of mine gave me this 3-4 seasons of this sitcom, she was madly in love with it and I couldn't understand why. Out of curiosity started watching it a day before my journey and I could not stop till I finish more than a half season. Thereafter i dint have this question of 'why' about any other sitcom or series for that matter. Friends have been my long running favourite comedy, I have watched every season at least 3 times. Every night after preparing dinner in Bangalore, I used to start random episode and enjoy my dinner. Then off course weekends were for movies. Now that I am in Mumbai and staying with family I have lost luxury of watching of such sitcoms or movie everyday, I have to wait for weekends for this. Over familiarity with friends has made me move to other series like HIMYM...
