Run baby run

Gone are the days of burning late night oil for movies and even more late mornings. To see a sunrise used to be a beautiful dream. and least I expected this dream to come true, but as they say 'Dreams come true for those who has dreams' ;) Good (really???) to fulfill this dream of mine. So Waking early in the morning is no more surprise these days (actually earning my bread and butter makes me do that) However morning today brought an ear to ear smile on my face as yet another dream came true for me. Its been two weeks I was planning to jog early morning. Yes I jogged, I ran for almost three kms and took a walk for another two. It was awesome. Realising that I can run, I can actually run for quite a distance makes me feel fantastic. Hope to continue this in coming days, if not seven days a week at least for 3-4 days a week. I guess feel good factor of today will keep me running. Lets see... Oh yes, Merry Christmas all. Enjoy the holiday season!!!

An Emotional Rambling

Its 2 AM dude and you still awake!!! Not that its very unusual, a month ago it was a daily ritual. However situation has changed drastically now and me being awake even after 11 PM is unusual. So?? Hectic day today, some familiar weekend routine, with my friends...was pretty much the same but in a way different. I realized this today, as I came home late tonight with bitter taste in my mouth. So just started thinking what can be done about it and I feel my taste changing more bitter... Just don't like when my mind starts rambling over, today I tried TV, Movie, Book, Internet and every other way to bring it at one state. Its just wont stop. While randomly surfing today I read this line somewhere 'They say you should not cry on your birthday' I could not stop thinking about my birthdays. Little bit off today, hope next one will be good :) Bonne nuit. tous les doux rêves! ****************************** Trying to keep up on building french vocab, Bonne nuit - Good Night tous le

Happy B'day

They say history teaches us things 'not to do' than 'to do'; anyway they say many things like this... one of them is 'History repeats itself'. Back in college once I forgot Rahuls' birthday, and that was when I told myself that this is it, this is the first and last time it has happened. However, in the year 2007 history was rewritten and in spite of remembering his 'Birthday' I forgot to wish him. How inexcusable is this?? You remember today is someones B'day but you don't remember to wish that person (*On a same day*). Unforgivable!!!! I know. Rahul, this is not an attempt to make up for the forgotten B'day, this is to give you wishes for your new, fresh fresh, happy happy birthday!! Many happy returns of the day!! Have a fantastic year ahead! PS , Rahul: We don't mind, if you want to treat us on this saturday.

Good Bye

Last day in my first company...huhh. What a day it was! 28th Oct 2008. Leaving my first job, all that moments it gave me to cherish, to learn, to enjoy...there were also moments of disappointment, sadness though I guess its a part of the parcel everything was just sad to leave behind. Surprisingly it turned out to be a depressing experience. Not that I dint want to leave my first job, I did surely want to change. I wanted to change it for new challenges, new responsibilities and off course for better pay. and yes I got offers I wanted, I was so happy, excited to join new company dint even think of how my last day going to be and when it came....it came pretty hard. Realizing that from tomorrow I am not coming to the same office, not meeting same people was little sad. None the less day has passed and now at this moment I am very much enjoying at new place. Just wanted to cherish all that sonata moments I would always remember from my first job. New company also made me change the city,

And one down

Star opener of our team has begun his next innings, his first inning was 'on' for quiet a long time...6 years. Its the fourth wedding now I have seen closely, last month i.e. Oct 19' 2008 one of my friend got married. Its been 6 years he was waiting for. I know Shiva for last 8 years and in that 6 years he was planning to get married ;) that is since he met his life partner. Fortunately this time he gave us well in advance notice so everyone could make it to his wedding. (He told a day before about he getting engaged, VIPs coming from Bangalore had to plan the trip in one night) First wedding in our gang...we all were planning a week before the wedding when to come, how to come etc. All week efforts led to no plan and we all gathered together at 9 AM in wedding hall. Its been long time we all gathered together, sat around a small table..all crunched even when other empty tables were available, ate from each others plate when exclusive buffet was available, laughed for no re

Sa Belle

Bonjour les amis, Enough is enough, I mean how long a person can hide his/her ignorance about something. You see, you read, you hear and on top of it you hear other people using it and still no shiny stars around your head. So here is a start... The other day I was reading this advertisement about new restaurant which had brief of the cuisine as well. So keeping with my reputation, with full excitement and cheer I called my friend that sometime we'll visit this restaurant called à la carte, and the response was where did you find/read this? (So what? expected response was 'Cool'). So after some intellectual discussion it turned out that name of the place is different and whatever I understood is to tell customers what is on the menu card. and that turned out to be an alarm for me to improve(build) my french vocab. And here today I started to learn about some cool french words :) There are some words which are commonly used these days. like 'adieu' from all my collea

A walk to remember...

Watching beautiful sunrise, taking deep breaths of fresh morning air and ozone(% of ozone in morning air is more), seeing 5 AM in a watch and taking a 6 KM walk that too on a week-end...Huh!! Dude wake up from your dream... Few days back it was just a dream, then on last Saturday my crazy half mind says lets run...it was 5 AM. Not that it was happening for the first time, this time its just other crazy half agreed to it. And this is how my dream turned into a reality. Where on week-ends it’s a rule to not to wake up before 11, I was all set to go out by 6. Decided to take a walk in famous Lalbag Botanical Garden. Beautiful place, all green, cool and always fresh. All my guests who are new to Bangalore I make it a point to take them to this place ;) As I enter into lalbag I saw people doing all types of exercises, all geared up in track suits, wearing special running shoes, putting ear phones etc. Considering my attire, I can say I surely stand out the crowd. Lalbag is stretched across

My first journey by Shatabdi Express

Unlike my other official trips, this trip was planned in advance so fortunately I got tickets to travel by Train. If it’s like 6-10 hrs journey then they give option for either Bus or Train, journey longer than this they give us flight tickets. So it was Bangalore-Chennai Shatabdi express departing Bangalore at 4:25 PM and reaching Chennai around 9:30 PM. I read somewhere Shatabdi is one of the super class trains run by Indian railways, so was pretty much excited boarding it very first time. Following Indian Railways tradition the train started 20 minutes late from Bangalore. We were yet to cross Bangalore city and they served snacks. A sandwitch, a Mango drink, samosa and Biscuits. By the time snacks was over, they started serving tea/coffee. I was surprised when my fellow passenger ordered Milk instead. Surprise was not milk, it was for he asking for it in the train. Indian Railways entertaining customized demands, amazing. By the time snacks trays and other things were cleaned it wa

Only you

Millions of ships, out there sailing in an ocean, But each one has to stand alone at its mission. Somehow it has to happen in a particular way, However its not always as you say. You see, you think, you care, You act, and still you suffer while you fight. -Dude, Just do it. I know you can. and stop bothering about too many things.....Its you, only you.

Chennai Trip

It has been almost two weeks I wanted to write about my Chennai Trip. Not that it was great or something but just wanted to write. It was actually a Business trip, so as usual was communicated to me on 11th hour. Unwillingly I agreed to go by bus (Bangalore-Chennai). If it is long journey and if it is a bus in my case it will always be 'unwillingly'. Journey started at 11 PM from Bangalore, reached Chennai around 5:30, as expected all Auto people jumped seeing prospect customer. not meeting their expectations I walked for a while and stopped one auto and told him the address. Not told actually mumbled because I couldn't pronounce the word even after practicing it at least 20 times. It was 'Nungumbakkam'. Many people told me that in Chennai, language' will be a barrier...true. I had a tough time communicating guest-house care taker/Auto drivers. My meeting was scheduled at 11 AM, When I was about to leave care taker came and started talking, he talked almost for

Bollywood Effect

Some lines that bollywood has gifted are so catchy. Like "Main kahan hoon?" , "Kutte kamine main tera khoon pi jaunga", "Mai tumhare bina nahin jee sakta/sakti" , "Jug Jug jiyo beta/beti " (ye 'jug jug' kya hai I still dont know. I know only trainwala 'Zug Zug' ), Kanoon ke haath lambe hote hai, tum isse kabhi bach nahi paoge...." etc etc. However boring, repetitive, meaningless these lines are I still like some. *I still enjoy Sunny Deols dialogues from 'Damini' and Amitabh Bachchans many lines from many movies. I enjoy even more when these reel lines are used in real; what a marvellous effect they have! Some similar spontaneity relating to such usage... Today I was cleaning my house (Yeah I do it once in a while) , and wanted to remove window curtains. Then somehow I couldn't. However its not because my hands did not reach, its just those curtain hangers are hanging way too high. Apparently same time my friend c

Seasons

Summer, Monsoon, winter these are the seasons at least I am familiar with. (They say in polar regions Spring and Autumn are different from Summer and Winter.....like anybody would believe that) Do a persons life have seasons? yes I guess it does. I am not sure about the seasons in other peoples life, but mine are quiet random and these days are going wild too ;) My seasons vary in terms of duration they last for, frequency at which they occur. These days I am also experiencing cross-seasons(Mix of two). Popular seasons are Food, Movie, Sleeping, Fighting etc. In each of these season single priority task is to execute The Theme . Like in food season eating lots of food, no matter what I eat how much I eat I never get full. In a Movie season watching movies like anything, seen/unseen. In sleeping season sleeping like never slept in a whole life and in a fighting season fight with whoever comes along on the first thing that comes to mind and this way all seasons continue. Currently Movie

Remember one thing, every cloud has a silver lining and any storm wont stop you from shining Remember every little cry, you turned into a joy Less or more stress, you turned into a success This is not the time to think of sea rover , my dear you are just ready to take over Don't think of how things are coming along you just keep moving on and on No matter switch off or on you shine on...shine on...

Team Outing

Friday for me is always a fun day, that way most of the days are. Right from the school days Friday was most awaited day of the week, mainly because of the next half day of school and some TV programs. As such no reason is required for me to be happy about any Friday; but there was for the last Friday. I was pretty much excited to go for ‘Leadership and Team Building’ program organized by my company. Place was ‘Parkfield Resotel’ in Hoskote around 40 KMs from Bangalore city. Parkfield is a resort cum hotel with a five star rating, exotically spread across 35 acres. It was decided to start around 6:30 AM for the place, giving me a glorious opportunity to see sunrise after many years. Opportunity given was successful; we reached around 8 in the morning. Had a grand breakfast and then moved to see trainer who had taken up task of building our team. And here we met ‘Cheerful Chieny’, ‘Sweet Shreenidhi’, ‘Peaceful Praveen’ and ‘Regal Regan’ from Oscar Murphy International popularly known as

Marriage Ceremony attended in Coorg

Happen to attend my 'friends' wedding on 23rd Jan in Coorg. One of the Joyful, musical, funfilled marriage I have attended. Actually this is the 3rd marriage ceremony I have ever attended. First two being my 'Uncles' and 'Cousin sisters'. Even those were awesome. The marriage attended in Coorg is memorable for many things. I had expected it to be different as the first two marriages I have seen are of Maharashtrian style. Dint thought it will be DISTINCT. The ceremony was in Madikeri, beautiful place. We reached there early morning to attend the ceremony. Ceremony started around 10 AM and went on till 10 PM, still I dint get to know when did actual wedding rituals happened :) This is how it went....... When groom and family came, Bride and family greeted them by performing a ritual called 'Baale Birud'. This is performed by cutting plantain stumps of the tree driven into the ground (no of stumps are always multiple of 3) which symbolizes ‘Bali’, elder on
